Prepare RoF2
Copy your working EverQuest RoF2 client into a new folder, such as C:\Games\NMS-Multiclass.
EVERY ADVENTURE STARTS SOMEWHERE
Get connected, choose your tools, and find your way around EQ Dream. Everything you need, in one place.
162.222.206.135:5999 Make a separate copy of your RoF2 folder so other emulator installations stay untouched.
Copy your working EverQuest RoF2 client into a new folder, such as C:\Games\NMS-Multiclass.
Download the EQ Dream Launcher, select your copied RoF2 folder, and choose Patch / Repair. A manual ZIP is also available.
Download launcher →The launcher can start the game for you. For a manual shortcut, right-click eqgame.exe, create a shortcut, then add patchme after the closing quote in its Target field.
Start the new shortcut. Enter the username and password you want to use. A new account is created automatically the first time you log in.
eqgame.exeeqhost.txtdinput8.dllspells_us.txtResources\spells_us.txtuifiles\default\NMS_WaypointsWnd.xmluifiles\default\EQUI_TargetWindow.xmlCombine four classes on one hero and gain access to their skills, spells, abilities, and equipment.
Hunt Normal, Enchanted, Legendary, and rare purple Mythic versions of items.
Type /nmsloot in game to open the loot window and create keep, sell, and loot rules.
Class spells and abilities are learned automatically as you level—no spell shopping required.
Discover waypoint markers, unlock destinations, and use the custom travel window.
Echo effects operate as always-on world buffs instead of cluttering player spell books.
NPC targets now show their level and a mana bar directly beneath their health.
A compact MacroQuest window for solo camp combat with optional runner pursuit on EQ Dream. Start and stop with one button. Your settings are saved for each character.
The full bundle is about 61 MB and includes the official RoF2 MacroQuest build, Solo Assist and automatic loading of its controls. It contains no EverQuest client or accounts. Complete installation and command guide · MacroQuest upstream and licenses
Close EQ. Open the EQ Dream Launcher, choose your RoF2 folder and click Patch / Repair. The current launcher patch includes spell-gem pulling, snaring, healing, the zoning authentication fix and Solo Assist setup files. Manual patch ZIP is also available.
Download MacroQuest + Solo Assist above. Extract the entire ZIP into a new, separate folder, such as Documents\EQDream-MacroQuest. Keep this separate from EQ and any existing MacroQuest installation.
Run MacroQuest.exe from the extracted folder. It stays in the system tray. Then open your EQ Dream Launcher and click Play. You can log in normally; AutoLogin setup is optional. Run only one MacroQuest instance.
In game, type /eqd. Choose a camp, review your pull radius and level range, then click Start. Click Stop before changing camp or settings. Loading the controls never starts combat automatically.
Close EQ and MacroQuest. After Patch / Repair, open the SoloAssist folder inside your EQ folder and double-click Install-Solo-Assist.cmd. Select the folder containing your existing MacroQuest.exe. The installer backs up replaced files, preserves character settings and adds our login command while retaining your other commands.
You can also extract the small update ZIP and run its installer. For future updates, patch EQ, then rerun this installer. The EQ launcher updates the setup files; running the installer updates your separate MacroQuest folder.
Use the included installer to install all four Lua files, the Tavern window, and the login commands together. For a one-session Solo Assist start, type /lua run eqdream_control after MacroQuest is running.
Choose Distant Strike, Spell gem, or Defend only. Spell gem replaces the old hotbar-button option. Memorize a single-target detrimental spell and select its Pull spell gem; the menu displays the spell name. Set Maximum pull range and Retry seconds. Mana, cooldown, line of sight and actual spell range are checked. Three failed attempts stop pulling. Set the correct gem after updating if you previously used hotbar pulling. Fresh pulls exclude named mobs and pets and check line of sight. Set a radius of 30–150 units and a level range of 0–10 below / 0–10 above your level.
Pet assist sends your existing pet into combat. Rest recovers health between fights. Low health pauses new pulls while defense continues and attempts Mend when available. It cannot guarantee survival. Begin with conservative settings and watch the first fights.
Automatic melee positioning: Solo Assist faces the current enemy, moves comfortably inside melee range, and restores melee attack if it gets turned off. It follows existing attackers at every health level, including runners; no Chase runners checkbox is required. Maximum combat distance from camp is adjustable from 20 to 100 (default 60), also limited by Pull radius. Fresh ranged pulls still wait for an attacker before advancing. Healing and snaring stop movement before casting; melee resumes afterward. After the fight it returns to camp. MQ2MoveUtils is required and loads automatically; it is included in the full bundle. Movement requires a clear path and does not navigate around walls. Blocked or interrupted movement stops the routine. A fight stops after two minutes without damage progress, rather than after two minutes of active fighting. Stop, death, and zoning cancel movement. NMS continues to handle loot.
The routine stops on death, zoning, or manual movement more than 20 units from camp. Automatic melee positioning permits movement within its configured limit. It does not search by roaming, auto-rez, replace pets or provide full spellcaster rotations. Hiding or closing the window does not stop combat; use Stop.
Use /nmsloot for your existing Keep and Sell rules. Solo Assist uses NMS loot handling and multiclass melee behavior. SSF restrictions remain in force. Solo Assist and solo self-found are separate features.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/eqd | Show or hide Solo Assist |
/eqd show · /eqd hide | Open or hide the controls |
/eqd start | Start at your current position with saved settings |
/eqd stop · /eqdstop | Stop the running routine |
/hotbutton SoloAssist /eqd | Create an EQ hotbutton for the window |
/lua run eqdream_control | Load controls manually |
Press Ctrl + ` (the grave/backtick key) to hide the large console. Open the small Solo Assist window with /eqd.
Start MacroQuest before EQ. In game try /plugin MQ2Lua load, then /lua run eqdream_control. If /plugin is also unknown, close EQ and relaunch with the RoF2 MacroQuest build already running. Confirm the scripts are in that installation’s lua folder.
Try /nmsloot reset for a missing NMS window. For the latest-client warning after zoning, close EQ, run Patch / Repair and relaunch. This release fixes an authentication refresh issue; report the zone and time if it returns.
Close EQ and remove only the eqdream_control line from MacroQuest’s config/ingame.cfg. The Solo Assist Lua files may then be removed. Keep the Tavern files if you still use Tavern Duels. Keep your character settings for later reinstallation. Installer backups are in your MacroQuest folder under EQDream-backups.
Tested on EQ Dream: ordinary zoning, death-return, NMS window and selling with the new client fix; Solo Assist combat, pet assist, saved options and low-health recovery in Mistmoore. This is an optional initial release. Validate settings for your own character and camp before leaving it running.
Stop Solo Assist, enable Auto snare, and choose the Snare spell gem containing your memorized single-target snare. The menu shows the spell name. Snare retry seconds defaults to 10. It snares an existing attacker, skips a snare visible in target buffs, and pauses for 60 seconds after three unconfirmed attempts. It does not pull new enemies. Healing takes priority before a new snare cast, and all spell casts run one at a time.
Auto snare starts disabled. Select an actual snare spell and observe your first fight. Target buff visibility can vary; the retry limit prevents constant casting when a snare cannot be confirmed.
In /eqd, click Stop, enable Auto self-heal, and choose Self-heal spell or Lifetap on my attacker. Memorize your healing spell and select its Healing spell gem; the menu shows its name. Choose Heal at HP % (65% by default) and Heal retry seconds (3 by default), then click Start.
Self-heal targets you, including between fights. Lifetap uses an existing attacker in range and line of sight; it does not pull enemies to heal. The assist checks mana and cooldown, holds the target while casting, and resumes defense afterward. This option starts disabled and saves per character. Use a real healing spell or a single-target lifetap such as Lifespike, and observe your first fights. Automatic casting needs your in-game check on each character.
Existing players: close EQ, run Patch / Repair, then run SoloAssist/Install-Solo-Assist.cmd from the EQ folder to update your separate MacroQuest folder. New downloads already include the option.
Sympathetic Strike lifetap healing: Prismatic Strike triggered by a lifetap now also heals for its damage, in addition to the lifetap's normal healing. This server fix has passed an in-game player test.
SSF power-source consumption: fresh SSF-bound duplicates without recorded progression can now feed a matching item in the power-source slot. Same-item and tier restrictions still apply. Items with recorded energy or progression are blocked. SSF trading restrictions remain in force. This fix is server-side.
The patch preserves existing mythic loot and NMS features. Permanent per-character SSF remains available with its own instructions. Named/raid tuning is server-side: exploding minions deal 15% maximum-health damage, silence lasts 10 seconds, and the shared ability cycle repeats every 40 seconds. Where a raid alternates two abilities, each individual ability returns every 80 seconds. No extra player installation is needed for those encounter changes.
Enable SSF on an individual character to make existing and newly acquired items NO TRADE, except food, water, potions, and augments. Bags are not exempt. Other characters keep their normal trading rules.
Read before enabling: this choice is permanent. There is no player command to turn SSF off. Nobody is enrolled automatically.
On the character you want to use, type #ssf in game. It shows your SSF status or the permanent opt-in warning.
Close trades and tradeskill containers, and leave buyer or trader mode before opting in.
Only when you are ready, type #ssf confirm. This permanently enables SSF for that character.
Activation disconnects you. Log back in, then use #ssf to check your status. No additional client patch is required for SSF.
Food, water/drink, potions, and augments are exempt from the added SSF restriction. Any NO TRADE restrictions those items already had still apply. Weapons, armor, bags, crafting materials, and chase loot are restricted.
Restricted items cannot be given to or received from other players through direct trades, player pets, shared or guild banks, parcels, Bazaar/barter, or player ground drops. Restricted items cannot be sold to NPC merchants, and SSF characters cannot buy restricted items from a merchant's player-sold stock.
Your personal bank, normal NPC stock purchases, and NPC quest hand-ins remain available.
Public tradeskill containers are blocked for SSF characters for now. This includes public forges, ovens, and similar world containers. Personal tradeskill containers remain usable.
You keep your existing equipment, and the SSF restriction applies to it too. Enabling SSF does not certify how you obtained items before opting in.
Yes. This mode changes item transfers. Grouping, raids, currency, experience, and drop rates are unchanged.
Type /tavern to open the battlefield, packs, decks and trading post. Your cards are saved to your EQ character on the server. Play practice duels, share a table code with another player, or trade cards.
Each character earns 1 pack for the first kill of each named enemy, or 5 packs for each raid boss. Your character must receive the server’s kill credit. Repeat kills of the same enemy type do not award more packs, and raid bosses award 5 total. Open /tavern and visit Packs to see your rewards. Tracking starts September 11, 2026; earlier kills are not counted. This reward update needs no new player patch.
The updated full MacroQuest bundle includes Tavern Duels. Existing users can also download the small update. Extract the entire ZIP before installing. Requires windowed EQ and Microsoft WebView2 Runtime.
Choose a starter in Packs, then open your welcome packs. Use /tavern close to close the window. If the command is missing, type /lua run eqdream_tavern_live. Live cards are separate from test cards and do not change EQ items, SSF or currency.
Eligible regular named enemies in dungeons now have a 10% chance per kill to drop one extra equipment item from another named enemy in the same dungeon. Their normal loot stays the same. Raid bosses and raid loot are excluded. Bonus items use the normal Enchanted, Legendary and Mythic quality chances and appear through NMS loot. The bonus pool contains named equipment rather than ordinary drops, materials or quest turn-ins, and needs another eligible named item to draw from. No player patch is required.
Strike adds damage to damaging gem-cast spells. Healing adds healing to beneficial gem-cast spells. Your Spell Damage or Heal Amount also contributes.
Many of these are click effects that appear at Legendary or Mythic rarity. Equip the correct version, right-click it to activate the buff, and keep the item equipped. Strike and Healing can be used together.
Find the exact item version, eligible classes, and NPC drop sources in the searchable catalogue. Quest rewards and unconfirmed sources are clearly marked.

A custom UI must load the Waypoint Map window through its own EQUI.xml. The normal patch contains the window definition in the default UI, but a custom skin with its own include list also needs this entry.
Download the Waypoint Map UI fix — XML and instructions only, no executable or DLL. It is also included in the current manual patch and downloaded by Patch / Repair into your game's WaypointFix folder. The current launcher downloads these files; it does not edit custom EQUI.xml files automatically.
uifiles and the folder for the UI you use, such as gearcore or shinsparxx.EQUI.xml and any existing NMS_WaypointsWnd.xml. Copy the supplied NMS_WaypointsWnd.xml into the same UI folder.EQUI.xml in Notepad. Inside <Composite>, immediately before </Composite>, add the following line if it is not already included:<Include>NMS_WaypointsWnd.xml</Include>
EQUI.xml, not EQUI.xml.txt. Keep every existing include. Repeat for each affected UI with its own EQUI.xml. Do not overwrite an entire custom EQUI.xml with the default file.uifiles/default, which supplies the fallback. Restart EQ, select the repaired skin if needed, and reopen the Waypoint Map with your usual button or command. If it still fails, include your UI folder name, the exact message and relevant UIErrors.txt lines when asking for support. This fixes the missing window; it does not unlock unattuned destinations or repair missing zone geometry.
Download the updated EQ Dream Launcher 1.1 once. Fully close EverQuest and the old launcher, open the new launcher, select your RoF2 game folder, and click Patch / Repair.
The launcher restores all nine classic zone archives and their companion files. After verification, it moves conflicting Bazaar and Lavastorm EQG files into EQDream-Backups in your game folder. Replaced files are backed up too. It preserves the separate revamped Commonlands and Feerrott zones. No patch-password prompt is needed.
Already have an older launcher? It can download the files and EQ-Dream-Launcher-2.0.exe, but you must close it and use the new launcher to finish the conflict repair. Manual ZIP users: close EQ, back up existing files, extract the whole patch into the game folder, then run Repair-Classic-Zones.exe alongside eqgame.exe. This works offline and verifies all nine archives before backing up and moving conflicts. ZIP extraction alone does not disable conflicts. If your character is already stuck below the world, ask a GM to move you after repairing.
Missing the classic Bazaar zone file? Download the Bazaar zone repair ZIP. It contains bazaar.s3d from our working EQ Dream client.
eqgame.exe.bazaar.s3d directly in that folder, not inside another folder. If you already have a copy, back it up before replacing it. Keep your existing companion zone files.bazaar.eqg is present, rename it to bazaar.eqg.disabled. If it is absent, skip this step. This download repairs a missing classic Bazaar file; it is not a complete client. Use a RoF2 client. For Lavastorm and East Commonlands, use the automatic repair above. For other affected zones, follow the steps below.
This can happen when your client loads a different version of the zone than EQ Dream uses, or the correct zone files are missing. Start with a working RoF2 client; Platinum Edition and Titanium cannot be converted to RoF2 by applying our patch.
eqgame.exe. In File Explorer, enable View → Show → File name extensions.nektulos.s3d, bazaar.s3d, and feerrott.s3d. Keep their companion files such as _obj.s3d and _chr.s3d. If bazaar.s3d is missing, use the Bazaar repair download above. Restore other missing files from your clean RoF2 installation before continuing.nektulos.eqg to nektulos.eqg.disabled and bazaar.eqg to bazaar.eqg.disabled. Renaming keeps a backup. If either file is already absent, skip it. Change only those exact filenames; do not remove every .eqg file or the companion object files.feerrott.s3d and its companion files are present. Do not rename or delete feerrott2.eqg—that belongs to a separate zone. If the classic files are present and you still fall, ask a GM to check your character's location and the zone.Already stuck below the ground? Ask a GM to move your character to a safe location after fixing the files. Include your character name, zone, and whether it happened immediately on zoning or at a particular spot. If the problem continues, include a screenshot and the zone filenames in your game folder.
Open eqhost.txt in your game folder. It should contain [LoginServer] on the first line and Host=162.222.206.135:5999 on the second. Extract the patch again if it does not.
Re-extract the entire patch and replace files. The four exported client data files must exist both in the game folder and in its Resources folder.
Run eqgame.exe patchme through the shortcut described above. Do not use the official EverQuest patcher on this copied client.
Enter the world, then type /nmsloot show. If the window is missing, type /nmsloot reset to reset its position and size and show it. The custom dinput8.dll and UI files must be in the correct locations.
The custom DLL adds target-window features and game fixes to the old RoF2 client, so some scanners may treat the unsigned file cautiously. The add-on source is publicly available with the server project. Only install files you received from this site.
Confirm you started with the correct RoF2 client and did not mix it with Titanium or another EQEmu client. Restore your clean RoF2 copy and reinstall the patch.
Client patch 2026.09.26.3 restores the shield grip offset to move the shield outward from the hand, retaining its corrected facing. Close EverQuest and run Patch / Repair to receive the update. The game server remains online; no server restart is required.
Cast-time correction: Spell Shard reductions stop at 1 second. Naturally instant spells remain instant, and spells originally shorter than 1 second keep their original casting time. Spell reuse, cooldown and recovery timers are unchanged. This correction is server-side; client 2026.09.26.2 remains current.
Heroic INT and WIS are averaged: (heroic INT + heroic WIS) / 2. Each averaged point grants eligible caster spells +0.5% damage and +0.25 percentage points of spell critical chance. This balance adjustment reaches occupied zones as they empty and restart; no server-wide shutdown. Applies to direct damage and damage-over-time spells for Cleric, Druid, Shaman, Necromancer, Wizard, Magician and Enchanter classes, including multiclass combinations. Healing, item procs and pet spells do not inherit this player damage bonus.
Permanent summoned pets gain +50% base HP, melee damage, AC, physical attributes and resists per Spell Shard rank, with stronger ATK and accuracy/avoidance scaling. Ranks 1–5 add one level each; ranks 6–10 add two each. Rank 10 grants +500% stats (6x base) and +15 levels. Pet focus is applied before mastery; resummon after your zone updates.
Servers stay online. Changes reach zones as empty workers update; occupied zones continue running. Normal bow and throwing distances remain in effect.
Client patch 2026.09.26.2 updates the Spell Shard Forge display. Close the game and use Patch / Repair or the manual patch download. Server bonuses do not require a client patch to function.
Client patch 2026.09.26.1 rotates the shield model so its opposite face points outward. Close EverQuest and run Patch / Repair to receive the update. The game server remains online; no server restart is required.
Melee, bow and thrown-weapon attacks can continue while you cast spells. Casting poses no longer interrupt combat animations. Use /autofire for repeated bow or throwing attacks while facing your target.
Normal attack delays, ammunition rules, range, line of sight and combat restrictions still apply. Spell cast times, mana costs and cooldowns are unchanged.
This server update rolls out as zones empty. Occupied zones stay running, and login remains open. A zone receives the change when its worker updates after players leave.
Client requirement: 2026.09.26.5. If you already installed it, no new download is needed. Otherwise close EverQuest and run the launcher’s Patch / Repair.
Fully close EverQuest. Run the launcher and choose Patch / Repair, or extract the current manual ZIP into your EQ Dream client folder and replace files. Both downloads contain the same release. The current patch includes the encounter models, Solo Assist setup files and the NMS authentication refresh fix. Existing loot features and target information are preserved.
Only raid bosses receive special encounter abilities. They receive two different abilities, alternating on a 40-second cycle; regular named enemies no longer receive them. Assignments stay with that spawn. Nine abilities include marked detonation, volatile ground, Death's Command, Gravity Well, Repulsion Wave, Arcane Lockout, Blood Price, Predator's Focus, and Unstable Summons. Watch the large on-screen warnings. Unstable skeleton minions must be killed within 10 seconds or avoided before they explode. Shared Burden is not included.
The tested world-NPC health increase and additional 25% HP/combat-rating boost are enabled. The new combat boost excludes owned and summoned pets. NPC pet selection now skips missing pet definitions and chooses a valid available summon instead. Existing multiclass buffs, healing, debuffs, damage spells, mana pools, and five-minute ordinary-mob respawns are preserved.
Lord Nagafen, Lady Vox, Phinigel Autropos, Cazic Thule, Innoruuk, Maestro of Rancor, and the Classic dracoliche have a 5% chance per kill to drop one bonus chase item: Aegis of the First Age, Band of the Ascendant, or Flame of the First Age. All three are ALL/ALL and tradeable for characters without SSF. Solo self-found restrictions apply to chase loot. The weapon cycles through sword, dagger, mace, staff, and greatsword forms. Right-click it from a main inventory slot while out of combat; incompatible augments prevent a swap without removing the item. Normal loot is unchanged. Kunark also has the Relics of the Dying Sun chase set, added September 8.
NPC target windows now display the NPC level and a blue mana bar beneath health. The update preserves the existing NMS Loot Decision window and its Keep, Loot, Sell, Destroy, Bank, and rule actions. The experimental Anything slots remain disabled.
Raid bosses alternate their two abilities every 40 seconds. Arcane Lockout lasts 10 seconds. Unstable Minion explosions deal 15% maximum HP; Marked Detonation and Volatile Ground deal 30% before native damage absorption.
Eligible Kunark raid bosses have a 5% chance to drop Crown of the Last Sunrise, Heart of the Captive Sun, or Dawnfang, Talon of the First Sun. Dawnfang cycles between sword, dagger, mace, staff, and greatsword forms. Heart of the Captive Sun uses the charm slot. SSF restrictions apply.
